There are 2 major airports in close vicinity to Miami Beach. Miami International Airport is approximately 12 miles from the conference venue. Student Travel Grants
HBES has a limited amount of funding available for making small grants to help HBES student members offset their travel costs. To apply for a 2013 HBES conference travel grant, you must be a current student member of HBES and must be selected to present a talk or a poster at the 2013 meeting. Please send to Michael McCullough (mikem@miami.edu) the following information:
- your name;
- the list of authors, title and abstract of your talk or poster submission;
- the other sources of funding you have secured to attend HBES;
- the other sources of funding available to you to attend HBES;
- a short statement of the amount requested along with a short justification explaining what the funds will be used for.
Decisions will be based on need. Please send requests for travel grants by March 15, 2013. Decisions will be made by April 1, 2013.
