Welcome to HBES Virtually Everywhere!

The host and program committees of #HBES2021 are excited to engage our members in an action-packed, fully customized, online conference experience. Here, you will find all of the information you need to join us Virtually Everywhere this summer!

HBES 2021 will take place June 24 – July 2. To avoid computer burnout, the conference days will be shorter than usual (~4 hours), but spread out over more days than our typical in-person meetings. Meeting times will vary by day to help accommodate various time zones.

Conference dates and times:

Times subject to change on final program

TR June 24, 12pm – 4pm EDT

FR June 25, 12pm – 4pm EDT

ST June 26, 12pm – 4pm EDT

MN June 28, 6pm – 10pm EDT

TE June 29, 6pm – 10pm EDT

TR July 1, 12pm – 4pm EDT

FR July 2, 12pm – 4pm EDT

HBES Virtually Everywhere will be hosted on the ohyay platform and is a fully-customized online conference where you can 1) grab a coffee with colleagues before heading to a talk, 2) sing karaoke with your friends, or 3) discuss future collaborations at the hotel bar!

For the best virtual experience, we recommend all attendees use Chrome on a plugged-in computer, and strongly encourage the use of headphones so that everyone has a better auditory experience.

We look forward to seeing you all!

Cheers,
The Program Committee: Aaron Lukaszewski, Jaimie Krems, Anne Pisor, Cari Goetz
The Host Committee: Coren Apicella, Chris von Rueden, Nicole Barbaro
