Welcome to the HBES 2021 Symposium Submission Portal!

 

Before you get started, please make sure that you have ALL of the required information for EACH talk in your group. The symposium chair will submit ALL FOUR talks here in the form.

 

For the symposium you will need:

  • to indicate what conference days your group is available live for the session (Please see the main conference page for conference dates/times (they are also listed within the submission form itself on page 2).
  • a designated symposium chair who will submit ALL FOUR abstracts and associated information — see below
  • a symposium title

 

For each talk/abstract you will need:

  • presenter name, affiliation, and email
  • presentation title, list of authors, and abstract (250 words or less)
  • two keywords, sample type, and discipline (options provided within the form)
  • optional OSF, preprint, etc link that can be published in the program
  • indication of whether the talk wants to be considered for the New Investigator OR Post-Doc Award (see Main Conference Page for eligibility information)
    • If yes, you will need a PDF (surname.pdf) to upload.

  • General Information

  • Welcome to the HBES 2021 SYMPOSIUM submission portal! Before providing information for your submission, please read the following information regarding the submission and evaluation process. Symposium abstracts can be submitted until April 23, 2021 at 11:59 pm EDT and should be submitted by the symposium chair.

    This form is for symposium submissions ONLY. If you are trying to submit an abstract for an individual talk or poster, please go back to the conference page and select the "Individual Talk or Poster Submission Form".

    The symposium submission form requires that ALL FOUR abstracts be submitted together in this form by the symposium chair. Please make sure that you have all abstracts and associated information ready BEFORE starting this form. See the top of this page for requirements.

    Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and should contain information about the theories and hypotheses being proposed and tested, methods employed (e.g., study design, sample size, sample type, etc.), data analytic approach, and conclusions, unless they are not centered around original research. Abstracts for presentations that are not centered around original research should clearly state/describe the presentation-type (e.g., theoretical, review, etc.)

    Individual talks within the symposium are eligible for the New Investigator and Post-Doc awards. You will be able to indicate if a specific abstract submission is to be considered for the New Investigator Award or the Post-Doctoral Research Award. You will be required to upload the associated manuscript here.
