E&HB call for papers for two special issues
– by Deb Lieberman, Editor-in-Chief of Evolution & Human Behavior
I am pleased to announce a formal call for research papers to be part of two upcoming special issues/sections in Evolution & Human Behavior (EHB).
The first special issue is focused on evolved adaptations that function in the domains of physical contact, contagion, and intimacy. There have been discussions/round tables on the topic of the evolution of kissing and close contact (I recall HBES presentations on this a while back). In addition to some of the papers arising from these discussions/roundtables, I would like to invite the larger HBES community to submit their work on this topic.
The second call for papers is on the topic of personality, individual differences, and clinical psychology. While all papers that fall under this umbrella are welcome (which encompasses a lot, I know), I’d like to specifically encourage papers examining evolutionary origins, function, individual differences, neural correlates, development, cross-cultural patterns, and measurement of dark triad personality styles—narcissism, psychopathy, and Machiavellianism.
If you are interested in contributing to either collection, please send an email to EHBeditor@proton.me by Nov 1st and provide a short paragraph describing your contribution. Research papers will be given priority over discussions or theoretical contributions, however, a comprehensive review of either literature would be most welcome. To prevent doubling up on efforts and the possibility of joint authorship on research/review ventures, please let me know your interests in your email. Last, HBES members will be given priority over non-members should I get swarmed with proposals, so please renew (https://www.hbes.com/membership-join/).
Warm regard,
Deb Lieberman
