Call for abstracts for the Social Neuroendocrinology Preconference at HBES 2018

We are delighted to offer the Connecting Minds in Social Neuroendocrinology and Evolution preconference again at HBES 2018 in Amsterdam!

This preconference meeting is an opportunity to connect new and established researchers who are investigating the social influences and effects of both endogenous and exogenous hormones in the context of human evolution.

The preconference event will take place on the morning of July 4th, before HBES begins. This event will include short DataBlitz presentations from young researchers in the field with a focus on preliminary data, plenary talks from established researchers in the field, and a networking lunch open to all attendees. It is free to attend, but please register for the preconference with your main HBES registration to ensure that the event is properly catered.

We are pleased to announce two plenary speakers presenting at this event:

  • Dr Peter Bos, from the department of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht University
  • Dr Marco Del Giudice, from the department of Psychology at the University of New Mexico

If you are a young researcher interested in presenting in our DataBlitz session, please submit an abstract for consideration by April 1 (abstract decisions announced May 1st). These brief talks are limited to undergraduate and postgraduate students or postdoctoral researchers and should emphasize new and/or preliminary research findings.

Please contact Amanda Hahn (amanda.hahn@humboldt.edu) or Jaime Palmer-Hague (Jaime.PalmerHague@twu.ca) with any questions regarding this event or for late registration.
