Tenure-track Assistant Professor Position in Psychology

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in psychology with training and research interests in childhood development. The area of specialization is open, but an interest in the biological bases of behavior, psychology and law, trauma psychology, or a cultural focus is desirable (though not required for full consideration). The position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in developmental psychology and optional sub-fields. By August 2019 when the position begins, candidates must have a Ph.D. in psychology or a very closely related field from an accredited university.

UCCS faculty are committed to excellence in teaching and research, with the expectation that faculty maintain a productive program of research with commitment to obtaining external funding. The Psychology Department currently offers a BA program in Psychology, an MA program with tracks in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Science (with optional sub-plans), and a Clinical Psychology PhD with major areas of study in Geropsychology and Trauma Psychology (more information is available at https://www.uccs.edu/psych/).

Official transcripts will be required upon hire.
