The treatment Santa Barbara”>Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in evolutionary psychology broadly defined, beginning July 1, 2016. Candidates from all areas of the psychological, behavioral, and brain sciences who take an adaptationist approach to their topic are encouraged to apply. PhD required at time of appointment. Successful applicants are expected to have a strong research program. Responsibilities include supervising students in research and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in area of expertise and, more generally, in psychological and brain sciences.

Review of applicant credentials will commence on October 15, 2015 and continue until the position is filled. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
