We seek a scholar with an established program of active field or laboratory research, who will integrate and complement existing strengths in our program and contribute to trans-disciplinary initiatives across the university. Candidates’ skills and interests should be consistent with the Anthropology Department`s strongly integrative, scientific, and quantitative scholarship in population, ecological, genetic, and evolutionary research. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, ethnographic approaches to socio-ecological systems, evolutionary approaches to human environmental interaction, demography, and ecological approaches to reproduction and well-being. Methodological and geographic areas of expertise are open, although applicants with established records of community-based fieldwork are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, an ability to obtain external funding, and a strong publication record.
