The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social Psychology at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall 2020. We are particularly interested in applicants who study Psychosocial Resilience, encompassing social, relational, or individual factors that allow a person to preserve well-being and health in the face of psychological, physical, or social threat, broadly construed. To build on department strengths and promote inclusiveness, we are particularly interested in hiring an individual who examines resilience in the context of diversity (e.g., ethnic/racial, sexual/gender identity, economic status, or disability), as well as the intersection of social, cognitive, and mental or physical health processes. Candidates with strong quantitative skills and the ability to teach quantitative courses and/or strong neuroscience skills will be favorably considered.
For this position, successful applicants should have an outstanding record of research achievement, evidence of or potential for extramural funding, and have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. A Ph.D. in Social Psychology or related science is required.
