University of Miami, Department of Psychology, Tenure-Track Position in Adult Clinical Psychology

Department of Psychology, College of Arts & Sciences, is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member to join our department’s Adult Clinical Psychology division starting in the fall of 2019.  Appointment will likely be at the Assistant Professor level, but the possibility exists for an appointment at a higher level.

The existing Adult track faculty are a diverse and active group whose work integrates clinical science with basic research in personality, evolutionary, and motivational psychology. As a group, we are committed to the idea that an understanding of normal behavior fosters a better understanding of problem behavior. We are seeking an experimental psychopathologist whose interests would complement and supplement those of the existing faculty group. With regard to specialty, we are open to a wide range of possibilities. Ph.D. in Psychology or related field required. Although a clinical psychology degree is preferred, non-clinical candidates will also be considered.

The person hired will be expected to continue to develop an independent research program.  This person is also expected to be able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, supervise graduate students in both research and clinical domains, and serve on thesis, dissertation, and other departmental committees.
